Women’s Devotional – Day 3

Crosspointlive   -

Many times, as Believers we believe that our lives should be perfect, without trials, and “peaceful.” We strive for calm, for order, organization and for things to be “easy.” However, more often, we face many trials, tribulations, attacks from the evil one and often don’t feel at peace with our lives.

James 1: 1-4
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.   Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Ephesians 6:10-18
God commands us to be “be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness.”

Reflection Questions:

  1. Where does God insert trials in your life for your personal growth?
  2. Do you consider yourself a Warrior for Gods kingdom? How do you put yourself in
    the front lines?
  3. What can you do to create a spiritual peace within your life?
  4. What is your spiritual gift and how do you share that gift with others?

Guided Prayer

Father God thank you for the trials and tribulations you put upon us to make us warriors for you.
We come to you humbly, to ask you to utilize our spiritual gifts to make us strong, to persevere, to bare arms against the evil one, and to defend your kingdom. God we are so blessed to be loved by you and we thank you for your never ceasing Grace over our lives. Help us to live a life that is pleasing do you. In your mighty name, AMEN!
