Stronger at Home: Part 3
Deuteronomy 6:4–7 (NIV)
4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[a]
5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.
7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
1. Your Example Is More Powerful Than Your Instruction
2. Consistency Beats Intensity
Deuteronomy 6:7 (NIV)
Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
3. Your Home Sets the Tone for Their Faith
Proverbs 22:6 (NIV)
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
NEXT STEPS
- I will accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
- I will model my faith consistently at home.
- I will create one daily spiritual rhythm with my kids this week
- I will memorize Deuteronomy 6:5
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength
