Fight Night – Day 2

Day 2: Choosing Christ Daily Over Comfort

Scripture:

“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” — Luke 9:23

Victor Marx: “Men, too many of us fight the wrong battles. We fight for status. For pride. For things that won’t last. Fight Night was a chance to reset. To take your place in the real fight . Fight for your faith, your family and your brothers. Don’t wait for someone else to stand up. Be the man who does.”

Pastor Paul: “Faith isn’t built in the easy moments; it’s forged when you say yes to Jesus even when it costs you.”

Think It Through:

Life will always offer distractions that look like battles but aren’t worth fighting. Jesus calls us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and fight the real battles that matter. Faith, family, and brotherhood will last into eternity. Pride, power, and possessions will not.

Do the Work:

Identify one “false battle” you’ve been fighting. Maybe status at work, pride at home, or the need to always win an argument. Lay it down and take up the cross today.

Prayer:

Lord, help me stop fighting for what doesn’t last. Give me strength to fight the real battles for faith, family, and my brothers.
